This year, OneCareAI participated in one of the most important events in the field of digital health in Europe: the Health Revolution Congress, organized by Barcelona Health Hub on May 14 and 15 at the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Complex.
This conference unites leading figures from the digital health ecosystem—including startups, investors, industry experts, and institutions in healthcare and technology—creating an ideal platform for fostering collaboration, sharing breakthroughs, and driving innovation in healthcare.
OneCareAI took the opportunity to present its innovative technology based on artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC), as well as to officially announce the creation of OneCareAI, the new spinoff of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC). This marks a turning point for the project, enabling its technology transfer and opening up new avenues for its exploitation.
Daniele Lezzi , principal investigator of OneCareAI and co-founder of OneCareAI, was in charge of presenting the solution on the main stage of the congress, where he explained how AI and HPC can significantly contribute to the prevention and continuous monitoring of stroke, one of the main causes of worldwide disability and mortality.
In addition, attendees had the opportunity to experience the technology firsthand through an interactive demonstration. Using a smartwatch, they were able to record their ECG (electrocardiogram) signal in real-time and watch an advanced analysis of various biomarkers. This same data can be used by a medical professional to detect potential irregularities and anticipate the risk of cerebrovascular disease.
Participation in the Health Revolution Congress has been an opportunity to place OneCareAI on the radar of leading digital health initiatives, as well as to establish new connections with entities and institutions committed to creating solutions that produce a real impact on people’s lives.
